This adapter cable will adapt a new style transducer with a 10-pin "D" type female plug to an older type fish finder which has a 8-pin male socket taking a 8-pin "C" type female plug. The "C" and "D" refer to the last letter in Airmar's part number of the trasnducer. "C" is for 8 pin and "D" is for 10 pin.
